ICYMI: Olympian to Receive Governor's Send-Off in Waltham

Molly Huddle, a distance runner, will be honored at the ribbon cutting ceremony for Wolverine Worldwide's new headquarters in Waltham.

Waltham, MA – Olympian Molly Huddle will be honored next week by Gov. Charlie Baker as she prepares to compete in the 2016 Rio Games.

The governor will salute Huddle, an American 5K record holder, three-time Boston Athletic Association 5K Champion and winner of both the 10,000 and 5,000 meter races at the 2016 U.S. Olympic Track & Field Trials, at Wolverine Worldwide's ribbon-cutting ceremony in Waltham July 20.

Huddle will also present the Wolverine Worldwide Foundation Grant to Waltham Parks and Recreation at the ceremony.

Wolverine's new location, just off of Route 128, is home to Saucony, Sperry, Keds and Stride Rite Children’s Group.

The ceremony will begin at 3 p.m. July 20 at 500 Totten Pond Rd.
