WALTHAM, MA — Jeeps & Cones, an event designed to help a local business while creating a sense of community for Jeep owners, is returning to Pizzi Farm Market & Deli on Saturday, September 18 from 4 to 6:30 p.m.

According to event organizer Natasha Arseneau, over 60 jeeps attended the first-ever Jeeps & Cones event in June and at least 50 are expected to be at the second event later this month.

"Pizzi has always been amazing at giving back to the community in all ways possible, donations, events, free ice cream for the surrounding schools and softball banquets.... So a few of us in the Jeep community who know him decided that we would host a Jeep event to help give back to Pizzi for all that he has done in the Waltham Community," said Arseneau in an interview earlier this year.

Because the first event is so successful, organizers are adding a contest for the "Crowd Favorite' Jeep that will be chosen by all attendees. Unique Jeeps, decked-out jeeps, and decorated Jeeps are encouraged to enter to win the Crowd Favorite Trophy for $5 per entry, with all proceeds going to Catie's Closet, a local nonprofit organization that provides essentials for families in need.

Founded in 1933 by Domenic and Angela Pizzi, Pizzi Farm is a local landmark in Waltham. For more information, click here.
