Joe Vizard Sworn In as Waltham Assistant City Clerk
Vizard succeeds Tom Curtin, who passed away in December.

WALTHAM, MA – Former Waltham city councilor Joe Vizard was sworn in Monday as the city's new assistant city clerk. Vizard resigned from the city council last year to apply for the opening following Tom Curtin's death.
Curtin, a beloved city councilor who took over as assistant city clerk in 2014, passed away Dec. 2 at 59. Several prominent Waltham residents applied to succeed Curtin, including Clarence Richardson, head of the Waltham Historical Commission; The Sports Club owner Joey LaCava; and former city councilor Ken Doucette.
Vizard was named the new assistant city clerk in late March.
