Where: Near the Moody Street Bridge. Viewing locations here.
When: July 1 at dusk
A barge will be set up on the Charles River near the Moody Street Bridge for the fireworks display on July 1. That display is set to begin at dusk, with the bridge being closed to vehicle traffic and open only to foot traffic starting at 4 p.m.
Officials have released a list of viewing locations, which include spots like Waltham Common, the Riverwalk and McDevitt School Field, plus more. A full list of spots can be found here.
What: Waltham Family Celebration
Where: Prospect Hill Park
When: July 4, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Waltham Recreation Department is hosting a free July 4 Family Celebration at Prospect Hill Park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will feature "food vendors, music, inflatables, patriotic crafts and games, amusements and an animal show," officials said.
