Korean Fried Chicken Chain Coming to Waltham

WALTHAM, MA – Waltham's renowned "restaurant row" will soon add another item to its ever-expanding catalog of global eateries.

Korean friend chicken chain BonChon is poised to open its fifth Massachusetts location on Moody Street, according to a post on the Bring Retail to Waltham Facebook group. The restaurant will take over the former J & N Joke Shop space, Boston Restaurant Talk reported.

BonChon currently has four locations in Massachusetts – Cambridge, Allston, Salem and Lowell – and has Waltham listed as "Coming Soon" on its website.

Its menu offers an eclectic mixture of wings, drumsticks, boneless strips and sauce options, as well as standard Korean fare. The chain has not yet set an official opening date.
