On Friday, January 3, more than 500 Scouts and Scouters gathered at the Doubletree Hilton in Danvers, MA to participate in the annual Spirit of Adventure Council Eagle Recognition Dinner.

Javi's Eagle Project involved mapping out several under-utilized trails in the Prospect Hill reservation in Waltham, determining how best to mark and improve these trails, and leading a crew on two weekends to map out and place trail markers. This will help to improve access to a seldom-visited area of Prospect Hill.

Javier is currently a freshman at Johnson and Wales University in Providence, MA.
