Gore Mansion highlights towns history.

Off the beaten path on Gore Street lies an historic mansion some in Waltham may not know about, . The former home of Gov. Christopher Gore and his wife Rebecca, the mansion is now a museum, which offers exhbiits, tours and events. The Gore Place Society purchased the building in 1934 to assure it was not destroyed in the wake of Gore's death in 1827, according to spokesman Thom Roach.
