Man Rescued From 'Heavy' Overnight Fire In Waltham
A dog was killed in the two-alarm blaze, for which no cause has been determined.
WALTHAM, MA — Firefighters early Sunday rescued a man from a house blaze in North Waltham that had kept him at a window awaiting help. A dog, however, was killed.
Crews responded around 12:25 a.m. to a “heavy fire” at 111 Circle Drive and immediately ordered a second alarm, according to a statement Monday morning. With help from police, Waltham firefighters rescued the 47-year-old man over a ladder.
The man was evaluated and treated by EMTs, but his name and condition were not immediately available.
