Man in Shady Waltham Deal Suspected to be Same from Framingham Arrest, Newton Enticements

Robert Toney was arrested Monday for allegedly trying to abduct a 14-year-old girl outside a Framingham mall​.

A man recently arrested in Framingham for the attempted abduction of a young girl is believed to be the same man involved in some shady Waltham business.

Robert Toney of Texas was arrested Monday for allegedly trying to abduct a 14-year-old girl outside a Framingham mall. Waltham Police said Thursday he is suspected to be the same Robert Toney who allegedly offered to do repair work on a vehicle for a resident, then left with a $500 check without finishing the job.

Police said Toney, 25, is believed to have also attempted to entice females in Newton.

Toney is wanted for questioning in the Waltham incident. He is believed to be driving a cream colored sedan with Texas plates, according to police.
