Massachusetts' Healthiest Counties: Where Does Yours Rank?
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation ranks counties based on quality and length of life and social, economic and environmental factors.

MASSACHUSETTS – The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation this week released its rankings of counties in each state by overall health. The site compares counties in two categories – health outcomes and health factors.
Health outcomes are length and quality of life. Wealthier Massachusetts counties such as Nantucket and Dukes topped the list, both having a lower percentage of residents in "poor or fair health" than the statewide average.
Norfolk and Middlesex counties were ranked highest based on access to clinical care, healthy behavior and social, economic and environmental factors. Both counties saw lower obesity and smoking rates than the statewide average and higher access to exercise opportunities.
