MassDOT To Close Lanes, Ramps On I-95 In Waltham
The temporary traffic impacts will allow for crews to realign and reconstruct the on-ramp from Winter Street to I-95 southbound.

WALTHAM, MA — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) has announced temporary lane restrictions and closures at the on-ramp from Winter Street to I-95/Route 128 southbound in Waltham.
Ramp work will occur Sunday through Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning April 4 and lasting through June 29. The following temporary traffic impacts will allow for crews to realign and reconstruct the on-ramp from Winter Street to I-95 southbound:
- The on-ramp from Winter Street to I-95 southbound will be closed overnight. A detour directing vehicles to use I-95 northbound and reversing direction at the Trapelo Road interchange via exit 44B will be in place during the ramp closures.
- Typical right shoulder closures beginning immediately south of exit 43A (I-95 southbound to Winter Street eastbound) shall be in place as needed.
- During construction activities the I-95 southbound right lane will be closed in addition to the shoulder.
Signs, traffic control devices, detours and law enforcement details will be used to guide drivers through or around the work zones. Drivers are encouraged to reduce speed and use caution while approaching and traveling through or around the work zones and to allow for extra time through this area.
