Memorial Day in Waltham: Schedule of Veterans' Programs
Here's a complete list of events and programs honoring veterans leading up to May 30.

WALTHAM, MA - Memorial Day is approaching, and for the next two weeks Waltham will be holding a number of veterans programs in anticipation of May 30.
Here's a look at the full list of programs, courtesy of the Waltham city website:
- May 16-20: Placing of the flags at the cemeteries. Anyone willing to help place flags would be greatly appreciated by the Veterans' Agent. Meet at the Mount Feake Cemetery, by the office from 9-11 a.m. and at 3 p.m. by the service building with Waltham Boy Scouts on May 16. In the event of inclement weather, please call 781-314-3415.
- May 17: Placing of the flags at Calvary Cemetery - Volunteers from the Raytheon Group at 12 p.m. at the office (High Street).
- May 20: Fitzgerald School children will place flags at Grovehill Cemetery at 9:30 a.m.
- May 24: Plympton School children will place flags at Mount Feake Cemetery at 12:30 p.m.
- May 26: Henry Whittemore School children will place flags at Calvary Cemetery at 10 a.m.
- May 28: National Guard veterans and Boy Scouts placing flags at the Mount Feake Cemetery lower lot. Placing of the flags at 9:45 a.m. Girl Scouts placing flags at 12 p.m. - meet at the office.
- May 29: John M. Sullivan Memorial Service will take place at 9 a.m. at the corner of Lincoln and Lake streets.
- May 29: The Veterans' Memorial church service will take place at St. Mary's Church, 130 School St. at 10 a.m.
- May 30: Gold Star Mothers' Memorial at 9 a.m. at the Prospect Street Bridge.
- May 30: Memorial Day Services will be held on the Waltham Common at 10 a.m. Please take a few minutes to remember our fine men and women fighting in the Middle East, and for all the troops serving around the world.
