Mike & Patty's Sandwich Shop To Open In Waltham
The well-known Bay Village sandwich shop named after its first owners is slated to open in Waltham some time this year.
WALTHAM, MA —Waltham is about to have its breakfast sandwich game step it up a notch.
A well-known Boston based sandwich shop is slated to open a second restaurant in Waltham. This means Waltham residents might not have to go into Boston for Mike & Patty's “The Fancy,” “The Breakfast Torta,” “The Goldmine” and something called “Breakfast Grilled Crack.”
First reported by the Waltham News Tribune, Mike & Patty’s is moving into the old Griff furniture store at 584 Moody Street, which is significantly larger than its South End spot, which fits a handful of stools and the check out register and usually means there's a line out the door.

Co owners Ania Zaroda and Michael Gurevich (who took over from the original owners Mike Fizhenry and Patty Sinaiko) are still working out the kinks, the Waltham News Tribune reported. But the game plan is to open shop by the end of the year in some form or another.

The tiny restaurant has been featured on Chronicle and a number of guides give it a shout out as a destination.
A classic fried egg on an English muffin at Mike & Patty's in Boston goes for $4.50, though most items run in the $7/$8 range a Croque Madame (ham or turkey with gruyere) goes for $10.50.
