Moose Hits the Town in Waltham Tuesday Night
Police believe the animal to be the furry fugitive that remains at large after being spotted in nearby towns last week.

WALTHAM, MA - A rogue moose that has eluded capture for more than a week was spotted again in Waltham Tuesday night.
The furry fugitive is assumed to be the same one spotted galavanting through neighborhoods in Watertown, Belmont and Lexington last week, though it is not confirmed, police said.

According to police, the first sightings were reported around 9 p.m. on Stow Street as the animal headed towards Main Street.
Officers searched for the moose but were unable to locate it Tuesday night.

Police and state environmental agencies have been looking for a moose since it was initially spotted in Watertown and Belmont on June 1.
