National Braille Press' "Braille & Brew" @ Mighty Squirrel on 8/27

Event will support the National Braille Press mission to raise awareness about braille literacy for blind and low-vision individuals

National Braille Press (NBP) is hosting a “Braille and Brew” at Mighty Squirrel in Waltham on August 27 at 6:30 pm. This unique experience combines craft beer tasting with a powerful message about braille literacy. Attendees will enjoy a tasting of Mighty Squirrel’s premier brews while blindfolded, complemented by pizza and snacks. The event supports NBP’s commitment to braille literacy and to enhancing visibility and inclusion for individuals who are blind or have low vision. All proceeds from National Braille Press’ “Braille & Brew” events help NBP continue to produce books into braille for blind and low-vision individuals.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Mighty Squirrel in Waltham for this unique event,” said Joe Quintanilla, VP of Development and Major Gifts. “This collaboration not only offers a unique and fun experience for all but also enhances awareness of the crucial role braille literacy plays in fostering inclusion for individuals who are blind or have low vision.”

The event will be held at Mighty Squirrel at 411 Waverly Oaks Rd, Waltham, MA. Tickets can be purchased online at NBP website at this link: https://www.classy.org/event/braille-and-brew-2024/e601209
