Waltham Machete Attack Sparked By Neighborhood Dispute, 3rd Person Charged

One Waltham man suffered a head laceration from the blade of a machete, though the injury isn't life-threatening, police said.

WALTHAM, MA — A third person has been charged in connection to a Friday night fight in Waltham that involved a machete, police announced.

Two people were arrested at the scene of the fight on Friday and the third person was arrested on Sunday at 10:15 a.m., police said.

Police have charged Osman Aguilar Borrayo, 27, of Waltham with armed assault with intent to murder, assault and battery on a pregnant person and mayem.

Bryan Aguilar Borrayo, 19, and Kevin Aguilar Borrayo, 21, both of Waltham, are charged with mayhem.

Police responded to the 34 Hammond St. area at 6:30 p.m. on Friday for a report of a fight involving a machete.

One person suffered a "deep head laceration" from being attacked by the machete. He was transported to an area hospital but the injuries weren't life-threatening, police said.

Only one person was struck by the machete, police said, though two people were assaulted as they tried to stop the attack.

Police said they believe the assault was the result of a neighbor dispute over a car accident.
