New Hires; Resignations at Waltham Schools

The Waltham Schools hired new staff last week as part of its reorganzation.

The Waltham School Committee annoucned several personnel moves last week during its Wednesday, June 20 meeting.  

  • The Committee hired Ann Feldman as the new director of the English Language Learners for grades K-12. She is fluent in French and Spanish and was most recently the ELL director in the Milford Public Schools, according to Waltham Public Schools Superintendent Susan Nicholson.
  • Nicholson also said the district had reopened the search for a human resources director. She had offered a candidate the position, but that person declined the job, according to Nicholson. 
  • Also, the district is conducting final interview for the , Nicholson said.
  • The district is also continuing interviews for principals at the and acArthur schools.
  • Nicholson also announced that Kenneth Hayes, the assistant principal at the Whittemore school, would resign effective June 30. Her follow Whittemore principal Deborah Butts, who resigned earlier this month.
