New Restaurant Headed To Waltham Soon

You may recognize The Local pub from Newton or Wayland.

WALTHAM, MA — An Newton-based fancy pub restaurant chain is set to open in the space formerly occupied by Bonefish Grill.

The Local Kitchen & Drinks is planning to open and based on the offerings at its other four area locations and the menu online, you can expect to see small plates, everything from truffled fries for $8 to a Cajun salmon salad for $18 and slow roasted short ribs for $21. They offer New American fare, and beer, wine, and cocktails.

The plan, according to the Waltham menu, is to also offer brunch where you can choose from a selection that includes Avacado Toast (with bacon and egg) or Fried Chicken and Waffle or a Farmer's Breakfast and a mimosa or Bloody Mary for $16 on weekends.
