New Waltham Restaurant Opens On Main Street

Moe's Southwest Grill serves Tex-Mex fare.

opened on Main Street yesterday, joining the gorwing list of restaurants coming to the city.

The eatery, located in the former Tony D's location, held its soft-opening to a steady crowd, according to Manager Marc Hugo. The restaurant, which underwent full renovations, serves tacos, quesadillas, nachos and salads among other items. There are other locations in Natick, Chelmsford and Hanover. They also serve beer and wine and do corporate catering, take out and large orders.

While an official grand opening date has yet to be scheduled, Moe's is open from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. daily, with parking behind the building and on adjacent streets.

So far, Hugo said, things have gone smoothy with employees still undergo trainin. They are also still looking to hire. 

"We're still finding our rhythm," Hugo said.

Steve Hixson, of Southboro, owns the location as a franchisee.

Several other retasurants have either opened or are planning to in the future. l recently opened on Moody Street, along with Habanero's at the top of the street. , and are all planning locations, and is planning a second location.
