Obituary: Donald Leger, 68, of Waltham

Leger died Friday, Oct. 10.

Mr. Donald J. Leger, of Waltham, died at home on Friday, Oct. 10, 2014. He was 68.

Donald was born on Jan. 26, 1946, in Saint-Paul-de-Kent, New Brunswick, and moved to Waltham in his teens. He was a former member of the French-American Victory Club in Waltham, and until his retirement, Don worked as a self-employed roofer and siding contractor.

The husband of the late Marie M. (Babineau) Leger, he leaves his sons, Don Leger and his wife Carrie of Sherborn and Edward Leger of Waltham; his grandchildren, Justin and Chloe Leger; his brothers and sisters, Aurele Leger of Carver, Zoel Leger of New Durham, New Hampshire, Eli Leger and Lucy Henry, both of Leominster, and Lena Belliveau of Stow and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will honor and remember Donald’s life by gathering for calling hours on Wednesday, Oct. 15, from 4-7 p.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main St. (Route 20), Waltham, where his funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Burial will be private.
