Obituary: Jason Currie, 29, Waltham Native

Currie died unexpectedly early Saturday morning, Nov. 29.

Jason Currie, of Maynard and Waltham, passed away unexpectedly early Saturday morning, Nov. 29, 2014, at the age of 29.

Born on Nov. 22, 1985, in Waltham, beloved son of Christine Rose Willinger of Maynard and Thomas F. Currie of Waltham, Jason lived most of his life in Waltham attending the Waltham school system.

Jason was employed as a landscaper throughout his life. In his spare time, Jason enjoyed snowboarding, skiing, skateboarding, listening to punk rock music and was a passionate Boston sports fan. He loved to spend time with his family, especially his cousin Riley.

In addition to his parents, Jason is survived by his dear aunt Donna Willinger Brown and her husband Paul of Billerica, his cherished cousin Riley Brown, his maternal grandfather and step-grandmother Charlie and Carol Willinger of Waltham, his great aunt Gerri Cox of Waltham, his extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral service in celebration of Jason’s life in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons, 773 Moody St., WALTHAM, on Friday morning, Dec. 5, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Feake Cemetery in Waltham. Visiting hours will be held in the Mary Catherine Chapel on Thursday, Dec. 4, from 4-8 p.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.
