Pedestrian Killed on Rt. 128 in Waltham
State police said the pedestrian was initially struck by a car in one of the southbound lanes and then hit by other vehicles.

WALTHAM, MA – A pedestrian was struck and killed Thursday night on Rt. 128 in Waltham.
According to state police, the crash occurred around 10:20 p.m. in one of the southbound lanes. Police said the pedestrian was hit by one car and then struck by additional vehicles.
Police pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.

An investigation is underway to identify the victim and determine why the pedestrian was walking on the highway.
Three southbound lanes are closed while police are on the scene. The right travel lane is currently open to traffic.
