Steam engines, model trains, automobile engines and typewriters were just a few of the contraptions on display Saturday, Feb. 19 at the 15th Annual Model Engineering Show. The show featured members of the New England Model Engineering Society and was held at the Charles River Museum of Industry and Innovation.
The Model Engineering show usually draws a substantial crowd of paying visitors to the museum, and this year was no exception. This year, the show featured about 50 exhibitors for visitors who browsed displays of small-scale, working machines. The displays were mostly built without the aid of blueprints, NEMES founder Ron Ginger said.
