Photos: Waltham 10 Alarm Fire

Early Sunday morning a fire broke out in an apartment complex under construction. Here are some photos of the aftermath.

WALTHAM, MA — Almost 12 hours after an 8-alarm fire broke out in Waltham, there's still a heavy smell of smoke in the area of Moody Street when the wind gusts. It's a combination of wind and water pressure problems, according to the Waltham Fire Chief that made this a challenging fire to fight.

Only two firefighers reported minor injuries, one reporting a burn for radiant heat from fighting the fire. He took himself to the hospital at the end of his shift to have it checked out. And the other reported he suffered from smoke inhalation.

The chief estimated that as many as 200 people were evacuated in the early hours but most were back in their homes as of 2 p.m. Scroll to the bottom to the Photo Gallery to check out the photos below from the fire, all shot by reporter Jenna Fisher.
