Pickleball Lands In Waltham With Lowell Field Playground Renovations
A ribbon-cutting ceremony at Lowell Field Playground this week highlighted the new renovations, including a new pickleball court.

WALTHAM, MA — The completion of the Lowell Field Playground renovations were officially marked with a ribbon cutting ceremony this week.
It also marks the first effort by the city to offer pickleball courts, according to local officials. Courts can be reserved by clicking the link here.
The more than 5-acre property at 190 Grove St. was closed starting in January for the renovations, which are part of the cities ongoing capital improvement projects.

This closure allowed for the city to greatly expand what the playground offers, including a new playground, spray park, open space, walking path, basketball court, street hockey court, tennis and pickleball courts, bocce court and adult fitness area.
