RCN & Waltham Community Access Corporation Launch New HD Channel
The new channel will allow community programing to be viewed at high definition.
RCN Boston and Waltham Community Access Corporation (WCAC) announced today that it has launched a new HD channel (613) to allow community programming to now be viewed in high definition. Waltham Community Access Corporation operates WCAC-TV that provides programming geared towards the interests of local residents, businesses and organizations.
WCAC officially launched the new HD channel at an event at their headquarters in Waltham that also included a ribbon cutting and a reception to honor the service of longtime board members Louise Butler and Felix Giardina and to recognize the achievements of the WCAC staff.
“WCAC is dedicated to bringing the best local programming to the city of Waltham and by launching a new HD channel, we can now combine our high quality content with a great viewing experience in high definition. We thank RCN for working with us to launch the new HD channel,” said Maria Sheehan, Executive Director, WCAC.

RCN provides the City of Waltham with competitive broadband services delivering all-digital and high definition video, high-speed Internet and premium phone services to residential and business customers. RCN’s launch of the new HD channel for WCAC is another step toward providing its customers with the best in cutting-edge technology and services.
