Road Advisory: Detours on Moody Street
Moody Street's closing this weekend. Find alternate routes.

Expect detours, and delays, this weekend, as the Fitchburg Commuter Rail Line Improvement Project continues in Waltham.
As part of the project, grade crossing replacements will take place this weekend, with a closing of Moody Street from approximately 1 a.m. on Saturday, June 13, through 5 a.m. on Monday, June 15.
Keolis Construction personnel commences its work on Saturday, June 13, around 1 a.m. in the reconstruction of the grade crossing at Moody Street.

Police details will be in place to mitigate any traffic issues. Access to local area residents and businesses will be maintained throughout construction by detour.
The grade crossing will be closed throughout the weekend as construction crews remove and replace the existing track structures at this location, and upgrade signal systems and utilities as needed, said the city’s announcement.

Paving operations are anticipated to be completed by 5 a.m. Monday Morning and the road reopened for use by the public. Variable message boards are being installed on site to alert motorists and neighbors of this upcoming weekend closure.
In order to support the overall Fitchburg Commuter Rail Improvement Project, ALL MBTA Fitchburg Line Commuter Rail service has been suspended through Nov. 22.
