Roadwork Alert: Blasting Operation Coming to Bear Hill Road

The city announced that a blasting permit was pulled for site work at 110 Bear Hill Road to prepare to move a tower, and create an access road to that tower.

The work is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, Sept. 16, or Thursday, Sept. 17, and is expected to last about one month.

According to an announcement, the blasting company (Maine Drilling) is notifying neighbors of the work about to be done.

The blasts must occur between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., and typically happen twice a day in the early afternoon.

Anyone who wants to be on a pre-blast notification list they should contact Maine Drilling and Blasting at 508-478-0273. Someone from Maine Drilling will make notification about 15 minutes prior to the actual blast.
