RTN Staffer Named Credit Union Rising Star

WALTHAM, MA - A staff member at RTN Credit Union in Waltham has been chosen as a 2016 Credit Union Rising Star.

Business Development Officer Maria Thomasian is one of 13 winners selected by the Cooperative Credit Union Association in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island.

According to the organization, the award "recognizes the brightest and most vibrant young credit union employees" in the three states.

“Rising Stars is a great program to identify and acknowledge those next leaders who will ensure credit unions stay strong,” Cooperative Credit Union Association President and CEO Paul Gentile said in a press release.

Thomasian joined RTN three years ago as a Loan Processor and was promoted to her current position in January of last year. She is also serves on the board of the Dorchester Park Committee and participates in RTN’s Walk Home in Dorchester.

“On behalf of RTN, we extend are heartfelt congratulations to Maria on being named a Rising Star,” Nicole James, Senior Vice President of Retail Services said in the release. “We are proud of her hard work and dedication, and look forward to her future achievements.”

The winners will be honored at a breakfast at the 2016 Great New England Credit Union Show on April 28 in Boxborough.
