School Still On In Waltham, But That Could Change
In an email Thursday, Superintendent Echelson said to keep in eye out later in the day, though he doesn't anticipate a delay or cancelation.

WALTHAM, MA – Waltham Superintendent of Schools Drew Echelson sent an email out Thursday, asking residents to keep an eye out for possible changes to the school schedule Friday.
Echelson said that temperatures in the morning are expected to feel as low as -15 degrees, with gusts of wind whipping up to about 40 to 50 mph. At this time, school is expected to be in session without a delay, but Echelson said to look for an update later in the day "in case events change."
Waltham Public Schools asked parents to ensure children are not outside in the cold for prolonged periods of time – i.e., waiting in a car by the bus stop, driving your child to school or finding alternative modes of transportation with friends or relatives.
