On Saturday, November 16, Families of ScoutsBSA Troop 248 were invited to visit nearby Camp Resolute in Bolton, Mass.
Every year, scouts spend all day Saturday stretching their cooking skills by working together to complete complex recipes, and learn how to cook over an open fire using a traditional cast-iron pot called a Dutch Oven.
Saturday evening, families enjoy all the fine cooking as well as friendship and fellowship with other scout families and alumni.

This year was extra-special, as it also doubled as a celebratory dinner for the Troop's newest Eagle Scout, Javier Matayabas, who had passed his Eagle Board of Review earlier in the day. Special thanks in order to the District Advancement Chairman for travelling to camp in order to make this happen.
The annual cooking trip is the highlight event for Troop 248, but there are always adventures ahead.
