Our technical Certificate program is taught by experts in the field of fashion design. Students may take courses toward the Certificate or on a class-by-class basis to fill professional education interests. For creatives and textile arts enthusiasts, SFD offers workshops in various fiber arts such as weaving, lace making, embroidery, millinery, upcycling, and more. As an SFD student, you will join a diverse community of emerging designers. Our studios are filled with recent high school graduates, students from nearby colleges enriching their education with fashion, and working professionals embarking on a new career path. Waltham, MA – Police recovered the body of a 20-year-old drowning victim in the Stony Brook Basin Wednesday evening. Waltham Police launched a search for the missing man around 6 p.m. Wednesday in conjunction with State Police and Weston emergency crews. He had been swimming in the reservoir with two friends when they lost sight of him around 5:30 p.m., State Police said. Divers found the man's body in the basin at approximately 7:30 p.m., according to State Police. He remains unidentified. The drowning is under investigation by Massachusetts State Police, Waltham Police, Cambridge Police and the Middlesex District Attorney's Office.

Waltham Police launched a search for the missing man around 6 p.m. Wednesday in conjunction with State Police and Weston emergency crews. He had been swimming in the reservoir with two friends when they lost sight of him around 5:30 p.m., State Police said.

Divers found the man's body in the basin at approximately 7:30 p.m., according to State Police. He remains unidentified.

The drowning is under investigation by Massachusetts State Police, Waltham Police, Cambridge Police and the Middlesex District Attorney's Office.

We will have hundreds of plants both for the sun and shade along with a&nbsp; beautiful selection of hostas in blue, golds and variegated.We have a nice selection of herbs as well.
The Historic Greenhouses will be open during the sale, come rain or shine.

The Folk Song Society of Greater Boston is pleased to present “Bound for Glory”, our Woody Guthrie Tribute show. The show features many FSSGB members and friends, many of whom have performed in past Woody shows going way back to the 60’s.
“Bound for Glory” is a performance of songs and stories about the life of Woodrow Wilson (“Woody”) Guthrie, considered by many to be the founder of modern American folk music. Many wonderful songs written by Woody and performed by members of FSSGB are interspersed with short recitations from his autobiography. It is a funny, cynical, earthy and tragic account of his life in an Oklahoma oil-boom town, of the Depression that followed, and of his subsequent travels in, on, and under trains, in stolen cars and on his feet, round an America going rotten from the top downwards.
Chorus sheets are made available and the audience is encouraged to sing along.
