Second Despensa Familiar Opens in Waltham

WALTHAM, MA – A second Despensa Familiar location opened up Thursday across from the Waltham Common. The homegrown Latin market first opened two decades ago on Lexington Street, and now boasts another location across from the Waltham Common.

According to The Waltham Channel, Lillian Rojas' new shop will offer Boar’s Head meats, fresh takeout dishes, beer, wine and a selection of Latin groceries.

Rojas opened her first Despensa Familiar in 1996 and also operates a distributing company on Harvard Street, The Waltham Channel reported.

The new Despensa Familiar is located at 34 Elm Street.
