Seniors, This Week is All for You

Let's hear from you about Waltham's senior citizens.

Some 12.3 percent of Waltham’s population is 65 years or older, according to the latest figures available from the United States Census Bureau.

Mayor Jeannette McCarthy recently proclaimed the week of Sept. 28 as Senior Citizens Week in Waltham.

She writes, “let it be further proclaimed that the City of Waltham extends its sincere thanks and gratitude to our senior citizens for their tireless commitment, dedication and service to the Waltham community. Waltham seniors are excellent role models for citizens of all ages. They have made our community and America what it is today.”

Indeed, they have.
