Snow Emergency Declared In Waltham Ahead Of Storm
As Waltham looks set to get up to a foot of snow followed by freezing rain, the city is preparing with a parking ban.

WALTHAM, MA — The city has declared a snow emergency parking ban ahead of this weekend's storm, which is expected to dump anywhere between a half a foot of snow and a bunch of rain on the area.
The parking ban will begin at 9 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 19 for all streets, except for Main Street and Moody Street, where the parking ban will begin at midnight.
This means there will be no on-street parking permitted during that time.

Cars can park in municipal and school parking lots, but once the ban is lifted, car owners will have two hours to remove cars from school parking lots, and 24 hours to remove cars from municipal lots or risk coming back to no car.
Any cars remaining in school lots two hours after the ban or in a municipal lot 24 hours after the ban is lifted will be ticketed or towed.
