Supreme Court Hopeful Hardiman May Have One Big Name in His Corner: Trump's Sister
Politico reports Maryanne Trump Barry, who serves with the Waltham native on a federal appeals court, has touted Hardiman to her brother.
WALTHAM, MA – Waltham native Thomas Hardiman, one of two frontrunners for the president's U.S. Supreme Court pick, reportedly has one key influencer singing his praises – Donald Trump's sister.
Maryanne Trump Barry, a judge who serves with Hardiman on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, has spoken highly of him in conversations with her brother, according to a Politico report.
Politico cites two sources familiar with the talks, including one who reportedly described Barry as "high on" Hardiman.

Hardiman is one of two favorites for the nomination, along with appeals court judge Neil Gorsuch, according to media reports cited by the Boston Globe on Wednesday. The Pittsburgh judge grew up in Waltham and spent his summers working as a driver for his father's cab and school transportation company.
