Swedish IT Security Co. Sets Up Shop in Waltham
A company that focuses on protecting companies from IT threats is moving its headquarters to Waltham.

Cryptzone, a global provider of dynamic, identity-driven security and compliance solutions, announced on Feb. 4 that it has opened of its new global headquarters at 130 Turner St., Suite 610, Waltham.
Cryptzone’s new senior Boston-based management team, its recent acquisition of New Hampshire-based HiSoftware, as well as increased demand for solutions to secure data and access, precipitated the move to the Boston area from Sweden.

“Boston has always been a hub for fast-paced, innovative cybersecurity and technology companies. As Cryptzone expands throughout North America, and internationally, it is the perfect headquarters for global operations,” said Kurt Mueffelmann, president and CEO for Cryptzone. “With backing from major players in the technology investment space, Cryptzone is positioned to capitalize on the talent and growth that only the Boston community can offer.”
With an 85 percent increase in headcount since the start of 2014, Cryptzone continues to expand as part of the rapidly growing IT security industry. Cryptzone plans to increase staff by 30 percent in 2015, with 50 percent of hires set for the Waltham headquarters.

Cryptzone solutions secure the enterprise with dynamic, identity-driven security to protect critical services, applications and content from internal and external threats. The company’s AppGate® solution was recently named a SC Magazine 2015 Excellence Award Finalist, recognizing the most innovative and effective security technology on the market today.
The opening ceremony for Cryptzone’s new headquarters is Monday, Feb. 9, from 4:30 p.m. ET to 7:30 p.m. The Boston-based executive team, employees and their families, customers, partners and other constituents will be in attendance.
