Teens Indicted in the 'Brutal' Beating Death of Waltham Man
Three teenager face manslaughter charges after they allegedly beat to death a Waltham man.

Three teens are facing manslaughter and assault charges after police say they brutally beat a Waltham man, leading to his death.
Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Waltham Police Chief Keith MacPherson announced Monday that a Middlesex County Grand Jury has indicted the three juveniles in connection with the beating, which happened on Aug. 18, 2014, according to the release.
Joshua Greaves, 16, Anthony Lowe, 16, and Samuel Villanueva-Iglesias, 17, have each been indicted on charges of manslaughter and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury. In October 2014, Greaves, Lowe, and Villanueva-Iglesias were each indicted as a youthful offender on one count of armed robbery.

Greaves is scheduled for arraignment in Cambridge Juvenile Court tomorrow, June 30. Lowe and Villanueva-Iglesias are scheduled for arraignment in Cambridge Juvenile Court on Wednesday, Aug. 12.
“The victim was beaten repeatedly and left to die,” said District Attorney Ryan in a statement. “He was hit in the head with a rock, kicked, and punched. The callous nature of this vicious assault is disturbing and frightening.”

“This was a particularly brutal attack that tragically and needlessly ended a young man’s life,” said Chief MacPherson. “I am very pleased that the indictments were issued.”
On August 20, 2014, Waltham Police received a report that Thierry Tullus, 34, of Waltham, was missing and had last been seen by family members two days earlier. After launching a search, the body of Tullus was found inside his car on Overland Road in Waltham, said the announcement.
According to authorities, on Aug. 18, 2014, Tullus drove with the three teenagers to the Overland Road area in Waltham. The four then walked on foot to a wooded area undergoing construction, where they allegedly beat Tullus and took his possessions.
The teens then took items from the victim’s vehicle. After the beating, the victim was able to walk back to his vehicle and drove it a short distance, eventually parking it along the side of Overland Road.
