More than 100 teens from the 13 branches of the YMCA of Greater Boston come together for a free event to celebrate summer and kick-off the Y’s Get Summer Program, which offers free summer memberships and programming to teens association-wide, said an announcement.
Teens have the opportunity to use the outdoor pool (open exclusively to them), as well as play games on the field, enjoy a barbeque, have access to the basketball court and watch an outdoor movie. By hosting the event in Waltham, teens get to experience a Y branch that is different from their home base, as well as meet other teens and make new friends in a different environment.
The event takes place on Friday, June 26, from 5-9 p.m. at the Waltham YMCA, 725 Lexington St.
