Thomas Stanley Challenged for House Seat
Stacey Tully, dance instructor on Dancing With the Waltham Stars and five-year member of the city's Recreation Board, will run in the fall.

WALTHAM, MA - Rep. Thomas Stanley will face an unexpected opponent as he runs for re-election in November.
Stacey Tully told Waltham Newswatch that she recently filed papers to oppose Stanley for the 9th Middlesex District seat.
Tully, the instructor behind Dancing With the Waltham Stars and five-year member of the city's Recreation Board, will run as an Independent.
In 2014 Tully was named an Unsung Hero at the Waltham Hero Awards for her efforts in raising money for senior citizens through Dancing With the Waltham Stars.
She faces a tough opponent in Stanley, who has held the seat since 2000. He beat out his last challenger, Lincoln resident Sharon Antia, by a 72 percent to 28 percent margin in 2014, according to the Waltham Channel.
The 9th Middlesex District covers Lincoln and parts of Waltham.
