Three Struck by Driver in Waltham Thursday

A 56-year-old Waltham woman was taken to the hospital after the accident.

WALTHAM, MA - A driver in Waltham struck three pedestrians Thursday evening, sending one to the hospital.

A 74-year-old woman driving a black Ford Focus hit a 56-year-old grandmother and grazed a mother and her young son in the area of Prospect Hill and Columbus avenues, police told the Waltham News Tribune.

The accident occurred around 5:15 p.m. on Thursday, the site reported.

According to the News Tribune, the driver was turning left onto Prospect Hill Avenue when she hit the three pedestrians, who were not crossing at a crosswalk. The 56-year-old grandmother was dragged for a short distance following the collision, hitting her head.
