UPDATED: Snow Squall Said to Blame for 20+ Crash on I-95
The crash shut down the highway southbound.

UPDATE 4:00 p.m, Three lanes of I-95 Southbound have been re-opened. Mass Department of Transportation continues to treat the roadway. The injuries identified thus far have been minor in nature. Crews continue to clear the scene. WCVB-TV reported that 23 were involved in the crash.
UPDATE 3:54 p.m. The left lane of I-95 Southbound has been re-opened. Crews continue to work to attend to the injured and clear the remaining travel lanes.
UPDATE, 3:51 p.m. Massachusetts State Police say that the injuries are minor in nature. MassDOT responded with sign boards to assist with detours at Trapello Road in Waltham. All lanes of I-95 Southbound in this area remain closed, and drivers should avoid the area.

Original post: Around 2:45 p.m., troopers from the Massachusetts State Police got reports of a multiple vehicle crash on I-95 Southbound, north of Exit 27, in Waltham, involving possible more than 20 vehicles.
Waltham Fire Department and Lexington Fire Department also responded.

An initial report said there are injuries as a result of the cash, but there is no information on the severity of these injuries.
All travel lanes Southbound are closed, and it is reported that a snow squall might have contributed to the crash.
