Waltham 2023 Election Nomination Papers Available

Here are the dates to know as Waltham officially enters election season in 2023.

WALTHAM, MA — May officially marks the beginning of election season in Waltham, though the season is still in the very, very early stages.

Nomination papers are now available for those seeking election or re-election for the Sept. 12 preliminary elections. A deadline has been established to return those nomination papers by June 30 at 5 p.m. July 14 is the last day to file a statement of candidacy with the City Clerk.

Fifty certified signatures are needed on those nomination papers to be qualified for the 2023 elections.

Papers can be obtained at the City Clerks Office in City Hall, 610 Main St., Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

  • Councillors-at-Large (elect 6)
  • Ward Councillors (elect 9)

  • Last day to withdraw - September 18, 2023
