Waltham Advocacy Group to Hold Vigil in Support of Immigrants and Refugees
Waltham Concerned Citizens is planning a vigil in the heart of the Watch City this Saturday.
WALTHAM, MA – Waltham Concerned Citizens, a local advocacy group, will hold a vigil this Saturday in support of immigrants and refugees and against the president's recent executive orders.
Several Waltham residents have been outspoken in their support of immigrants in the days following the orders, and a recent petition to the mayor and city council prompted a response from Mayor Jeannette McCarthy Monday morning outlining the city's immigration policy.
Waltham Concerned Citizens is calling on its neighbors to join them in opposing what they call an "attack on immigrants, refugees and civil liberties in general" and supporting their fellow citizens.
