Waltham Armed Robbery Suspect Turns Himself In

WALTHAM, MA - The suspect in a daytime armed robbery at a Waltham convenience store is in custody, police say.

Brian Hurley turned himself in to Woburn Superior Court Friday after being sought by police in connection with the Monday morning robbery.

According to officers, Hurley, wearing a mask and wielding a large butcher knife, threatened the cashier of Kev's Kwik Mart and escaped with an unknown sum of money.

The 34-year-old Somerville man evaded capture last week as police worked to identify him based on several distinguishing characteristics, including a slight limp and a visible wrist tattoo.
