Waltham Arrest Log: July 10 - 12: Man Charged With Attempted Murder

Monday, July 11

Eric DeMartin, 31, of Hudson, arrested and charged with drivin with a suspended license. He also faces charges of two counts of larceny by check over $250 in connection with an outstanding warrant as well as driving with a suspended license and an equipment violation.

Walfred Dubon,  19, of 93 Hammond St., arrested and charged with a breakes violation, failing to stop or yield and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Benjamin Newman, 32, of 158 Russell St., arrested and charged with attempted murder, assault and battery and disturbing the peace. According to the Waltham News Tribune, Newman pleaded not guilty at on Monday. Police responded to a report that Newman tried to strangle a woman at his home, according to the Tribune. He is scheduled for a July 28 court hearing and was ordered held on $2,500 bail and to stay away from his alleged victim.

Alycia Rudenauer, 18, of 41 Lionel Ave., arrested and charged with assault and battery.

Victor Boteo, 22, of 25 Lowell St., arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol (first offense), speeding, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and starting, backing up and then stopping again.

Tuesday, July 12

Timothy Mills, 26, of Merrimack, arrested charged on outstanding warrants for drivin with a suspended license, assault and battery, being present where heroin is stored and possession of a class A substance.

Joe Stallings, 31, of 15 Orange St., arrested and charged with assault and battery.

Gordon Riggs, 54, of 54 Brown St., arrested and charged on an outstanding warrant for driving with a suspended license.

Edgar Pineda, 24, of 18 Lawton Pl, arrested and charged with assault and battery.
