Waltham Bank Donates Blankets To MA Coalition For The Homeless

The donation will help the organization's A Bed for Every Child Program and its Gift of Warmth Drive.

WALTHAM, MA — Waltham-based RTN Federal Credit Union has donated fifty handmade blankets and $250 towards the purchase of blankets, clothing and pajamas to the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless’ A Bed for Every Child Program and its Gift of Warmth Drive being held this month.

The blankets for infants and children were knitted by Blankets for Kids volunteers from the Amesbury Senior Community Center. These volunteers have made blankets for RTN to donate for the past several years.

“We are so glad to be able to help children in need stay warm this winter with blankets made by hand and with love by the wonderful Amesbury Senior Center volunteers,” said Michael Menas, RTN Amesbury Branch Manager, in a statement. "This is especially meaningful during the pandemic,” says Michael Menas, RTN Amesbury Branch Manager.
