Waltham Boy Scout Troop 250 back from Northern Minnesota

Troop 250 returns from the Northern Tier

Eric Bergeron and Robert Logan, the leaders for Troop 250 and Boy Scouts Dean Cooper, Matthew Storer, Tyler Mailman, Peter Marriott, John Schultz and Brian Morvillo all returned from their High Adventure Canoe Trip to Northern Minnesota landing late at Logan Airport on Sunday August 5th, all no worse for wear.

To fully appreciate the trip and what they experienced please visit the Troop Facebook page using the link below. All had a fantastic time and want to not only return, some want to go to 1 or 2 of the other High Adventure Bases that the Boy Scouts utilize in Florida, West Virginia and New Mexico.

This was an experience of a life time that they will never forget. One of the "Aims of Scouting" is personal fitness and on this trip they received multiple doses of just that. Portaging, carrying canoes over land, challenging to say the least, being constantly wet and exhausted but having fun and learning new skills at the same time was the daily schedule. They canoed about 60 miles over the span of 5 to 6 days, just a little more Physical Fitness. What more could a Boy Scout ask for?
