WALTHAM, MA — Children’s Hospital in Waltham will host a blood drive for “The Mighty Quinn" on Wednesday, December 8 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The blood drive is being held in honor of Quinn Waters, a 5-year-old Weymouth boy who has been battling a form of brain cancer known as Medulloblastoma for most of his life. He has gone through many rounds of chemotherapy, a stem cell transplant, and months of hospitalization.

The goal of the drive is to help make up for the national blood shortage due to COVID-19
