Waltham Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony 2017
Do you have photos of the tree lighting on the Common? We'll feature them if you send them to us!

WALTHAM, MA – Waltham wastes no time putting up its Christmas tree. In case you missed it, the Common and City Hall are both decked with lights and ready for the holiday season. Swing by and check them out.
Each year the city holds a tree lighting ceremony the Friday after Thanksgiving at the Common. If you missed it, the festivities began with a performance by the Waltham American Legion Brass Quartet. Then the Waltham High School Show Choirs treated the crowd to some holiday staples, and Santa even made an appearance after the lighting.
The Waltham Women's Club, as they have done in the past provided a mailbox for kids to drop off their letters to Santa, which will be accepting submissions at the Common until Sunday, Dec. 17. And make sure to leave a return address on those letters to make it easier on St. Nick.
